First ICEEST Conference 2020

The first “International Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences & Technology for Sustainable Development, 2020” was organized with a view to opening the horizon of blue economy, improving the perception of geo-resources, understanding the changing climate and disaster risk in a global context, studying urban life and regional development, analyzing and forecasting the atmosphere, and figuring out the sustainable Delta Management. Hundreds of earth scientists and students enlightened the event with their spontaneous presence in the conference.

The Event of First Conference

First ICEEST at a glance,

– Held on 25-30 January 2020 at Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka, Bangladesh.
– Chief Guest: His Excellency the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Abdul Hamid attended as the Chief Guest in the opening ceremony and inaugurated of the conference.
– Special Guest: The Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Dipu Moni, MP inaugurated the Ice Breaking Program and attended as the Special Guest in the conference.
– Total 6 sub-themes with 24 thematic areas.
– 73 international participant from 20 countries and 580 local researchers attended in the conference and presented their research paper.
– 465 research papers were presented in 32 oral sessions and in 3 day poster sessions.
– A conference proceeding has been prepared including 465 expanded abstracts.
– A Cultural Program was arranged after the grand dinner.
– Field Trip: More than 100 participants attended a three-day field trip at Sundarbans.
